Logo design
[Bill Minix]
[Mike Hempstead]

This all originated from a pencil drawing I did of Bill Clinton which I scanned and then applied UP filters to. I think some of the best effects are achieved (in this case anyway) just using very simple procedures i.e. I started with Colour Pushout and then variously applied a few more such as Lighteater and Twins.

Etang d'or
[Hilaire]

I dont remember well how it began. The intention was to create an image for my website representing summer. The idea was to show flower like figure. I wasn't satisfied with the image until I tried the liquid shadow effect. Now I find it's a really nice image reminding my of the reflection of flowers in the water of a garden.
Rock Fire
[Jim Oakley]

I scanned a rock I found in my yard and then I used the Magic Wand to cut it, lifted the face off and set it on a red background and then used the fine spray to simulate fire. I plan to use this as a background on one of my web pages I am building.
The Pavilion Logo
[Brian Merwin]

This was a test title graphic for an online school newspaper. I created it by first making a large grey button using the bevel & blur functions. After typing in my text, I used Liquid Shadow to make it... liquid shadowy? Anyway, finally I used Vortex to twist the image, and added another bevel to make it more dimensional.
